We recognize that to address the issue of hurricane fatalities, me must better understand the problem. The SPEAR Project is dedicated to constant improvement, development, and further scientific study.

We currently rely on “at home” technology to acquire the most timely and accurate meteorological and oceanographic data to make informed decisions. Not only is this necessary for safety considerations – which is our #1 priority – but also to aid in maximizing efficiency of resources and ensuring the most affective position for rescue after the storm passes.

To be truly successful, The SPEAR Project is looking to partner with universities, research institutes, and private parties interested in furthering the scientific research and/or developments in the field(s) of:

  • Public Safety
  • Emergency Management
  • Meteorology
  • Oceanography
